Last week, in honor of St. Patrick's Day (and friendship), we had a "Green Party." We met at Christi's house, ate a ton of food, and chatted it up. Here are a few pics:

2010 Mocktail Party
Last weekend I attended the annual mocktail party. Now I'm not a huge fan of dancing, but I am a huge fan of an open bar - even if it is only serving "mocktails." Here are a few pics:

Harry Potter Party
The Pettit's Harry Potter Halloween Party is always the best Halloween party of the year. They've been throwing this party for 8 years now. It took me 5 years just to get an invitation - The invitations have become one of the hottest and most coveted invitations of the Halloween season. We had a ton of fun with food, Quidditch, The Headless Hunt, and lots of trivia. Here are some pics:

Local Music @ the Avalon
Last weekend I went to the Avalon Theater with Ali and Sandra to see some local bands play. I love live music, especially in an intimate setting like the Avalon. We had a great time watching skinny-jean wearing punk bands. Here's a few pics.

Summer Break - One Week Down
Summer break began one week ago. In that time, I've done the following (not in this order):
- Cleaned my house.
- Cleaned my garage - it's so clean!! Plus a push broom is quite the workout.
- Exercised 3 out of 7 days. Not so great, but better than when I'm working.
- Found the perfect swimsuit - it only took 4 hours and 8 stores.
- Went out to eat with friends on 3 different occasions - must stop going out to eat!!
- Road my bike to the library twice.
- Spent Sunday at my aunt's house with the fam.
- Bought a wedding gift for a friend.
- Saw Speed Racer with Lesli. To read Lesli's review, click HERE.
- Hosted game night at my house.
- Attended FHE.
- Wrote an essay on narrative vs. expository texts.
- Renewed my ballet subscription for next season.
Me, Mitch, and Zack on the trampoline. I am filming. Mitch is bouncing - so cute. Zack is being a brat.

The First Official Celebration
So, I haven't blogged much about it, but my birthday is coming up. I love my birthdays, but because this one's a BIG one (30), I've been a little reluctant to write about it. It's not because I'm not looking forward to my birthday - I am. I'm still really excited, but I'm afraid that when it actually gets here, I might freak out. Regardless of the possibility that I might freak out, I have begun the celebrations. Wednesday night I went out with a bunch of my girl friends. Here are a few pics of our dinner celebration:

In other birthday news, this year I requested a pirate themed birthday party. Lesli (with my help) made these invitations for it. I think they are fabulous.

First Christmas Party
December is here and that means Christmas parties galore. I attended my first Christmas party last night - hosted by Ms. Ali Cole. It was a lot of fun to see girls I haven't seen in many, many months. How odd to think that we used to hold a girls' night out each Wednesday and I hadn't seen many of them for the past 25 Wednesdays. Anyway, here are a few pictures:

Me with my fantastic gift, Yahtzee.
It was a perfect gift. Everyone knows I love games.
Plus, the bow (in my hair).

I decided to do a trial run on the giant bow. I'm thinking of wearing a giant bow in my hair to the Mocktail party this year, but I wanted to test the waters to see what others thought. Is it too ridiculous, or just ridiculous enough? Feel free to way in.
